Photographed taxying past the control tower at Exeter Airport. This JP had just arrived from Groningen in the Netherlands using the callsign 'Archer'. She was built in 1970 and was last operated by 6 FTS at RAF Finningley whilst in RAF service. 6 FTS was the RAF's Air Navigation School and had the task of training all RAF navigators. The school used the JP to teach low level navigation techniques. Often referred to as the Jet Provost T5B in the navigator training role, this was an unofficial designation applied to the JPs of 6 FTS, whose aircraft were modified specifically for this role.
