Crashed into Loch Doon on 25 October 1941, sadly killing F/O Frantisek Hekl of 312 (Czech) Squadron. Recovered in the early 1980s. You can only be amazed at the quality of work that went into this Spitfire rebuild when done in the cramped conditions of the former Watch Tower.
