This display as shown in the Pacific Aviation Museum, shows the remains of PO1 Shigenori Nishikaichi Zero. It was re-discovered in 2006 on the Hawaiian Island of Niihru. This a/c participated in the 07-Dec-41 raid on Pearl Harbor by attacking Bellows Field. Due to fuel starvation it crash landed on Niihau in the hopes of being rescue by the Japanese I-Submarine that was in the area. It never happen and after a series of events he burned his a/c and committed suicide rather then to be captured.
