Photographed in the static display at IAT 93 this Hawk is armed with two AIM-9L Sidewinder drill rounds and a 30mm Aden gun pod. When this photograph was taken 19(R) squadron had only recently reformed the previous September at RAF Chivenor where they took over from 63 Squadron on the Hawk. Chivenor would close in 1995 and the squadron moved to Valley becoming the CFS unit there. This particular Hawk was delivered to the RAF on the 11th April 1979 and remains in service. She is the RAF's display Hawk for 2010 and is painted in a dramatic Union Flag colour scheme with the 4 FTS crest displayed on the fin celebrating their 50th anniversary.
