Photographed on the flightline at Air Fete 92 this 33 Squadron Magister was a regular at UK air displays at the time. Based at Brustem, she flew a graceful solo routine piloted by Capitaine-commandant Jean-Charles Kotwicz-Herniczk, who ably demonstrated this classic vintage jet-trainer. The Belgian Air Force operated fifty Magisters in the primary training role, the aerobatic team 'The Red Devils' also used them for formation aerobatic displays. A small number of Magisters remained operational until September 2007 making Belgium the last country to use the type after an amazing forty-seven years of service. After retirement, this particular Magister was repainted in her original silver colour scheme and dramtically displayed on a pole at the entrance to the Hauts-Sarts industrial estate near exit 34 of the E313 Liège-Antwerp motorway.
