Parked on the flightline at Air Fete 92, this F-16 was one of the initial batch of twelve aircraft built by Fokker, and was delivered to the Royal Netherlands Air Force on the 28th March 1980. Shown here in the markings of 322 Squadron (nicknamed 'Polly Parrot') based at Leeuwarden. Her last operational unit was 306 Squadron until December 2000 when she was placed into storage at Twenthe. She was scrapped in July 2004 after four years in store, first at Twenthe, then finally at Soesterberg. Her cockpit section survives as a simulator at the TNO Mission Simulation Centre (TNO-MSC) at Soesterberg.
