Close up of the nose-art on this KC-10A during Air Fete 92. Delivered to the USAF on the 26th of May 1987 she is a Desert Storm veteran with twenty-four missions during that campaign to her credit. At the time this photograph was taken she was based at March AFB, California. The KC-10A is based on the DC-10-30CF with only relatively minor modifications the most obvious being the centreline refueling boom and associated boom operators station, hose/drogue refuelling system on the right side of the rear fuselage and extra fuel tanks below the main deck. The 6th ARS is now based at Travis AFB, California, the Squadron's motto 'Vis Extensa' means 'Strength Extended'.
