'Ãguila Imperial Ibérica' (Spanish Imperial Eagle) on finals to runway 27L showing the short lived scheme 'Madrid 2016 - Ciudad Candidata'. This was in connection with Madrid's bid for the Summer Olympic Games. The following day after this photo was taken it was announced that Madrid had failed with the election of Rio de Janeiro at the 121st IOC Session in Copenhagen, Denmark, on October 2, 2009. Test registration was D-AVZP. Built in 2007.
