Close-up view of the beautiful Scandanavian Historic Flight P-51D. Painted to represent 'Old Crow' the mount of Col. Clarence E. "Bud" Anderson of the 357th Fighter Group, 363rd Fighter Squadron, 8th Air Force. This P-51 was built in 1944 but didn't actually see any action during World War II. She saw postwar service with the Royal Canadian Air Force as 9279 before being owned by a succession of civilian owners in North America. She was acquired by the Scandinavian Historic Flight in 1980 and was restored by Vintage Aircraft Ltd,. of Fort Collins, Colorado. In 1986 she was flown across the Atlantic to Norway by Anders Saether, since then she has been a regular performer on the European airshow circuit, also appearing in the 1989 feature film 'Memphis Belle'. She is based in Oslo and currently wears an Olive Drab colour scheme.
