Half scale model of proposed BP P.92, built by Heston Aircraft in wood. Boulton Paul Association negative G591 or copy negative G1642 taken on the compass base at the rear of the Boulton Paul Factory (one of 11 round the clock shots). The machine was flown until 1945 and pulled out of its storage in the 1950's for burning on bonfire night. Between 1945 and its destruction it sat in a white shed part way down the taxiway between the factory and Pendeford airfield. Full glass plate negatives G591 to 594 have been missing from the Boulton Paul archive since late 1980's when they were stolen. Fortunately a print of G591 was available to replace this one as a copy negative was made as G1642. Prints of G592 to 594 are still sought. - Les Whitehouse, BPA Archivist.
