Photographed in the static display during Air Tournament International 92 at Boscombe, this RNZAF 727 is from 40 Squadron based at Whenuapai, located north west of Auckland. Originally delivered in October 1968 to United Airlines as N7435U, she was bought by the RNZAF in 1981. One of three 727s bought second hand from Boeing, all ex-United machines, she was retired from RNZAF service on the 11th July 2003. She has since been sold to a civilian operator in Swaziland and is now registered 3D-KMJ.
