Photographed in the static during Air Tournament International 92 at Boscombe. This Sea King was used by the Aircraft & Armament Experimental Establishment for testing and recording navigation and communications systems and for performance testing. She was the first production Sea King to fly with composite main rotor blades, making her first flight on the 3 June 1986, she was then delivered on the 3 July that year. She crashed on the 30 November 2001 sustaining extensive airframe structural damage and was subsequently held in storage. In June 2007 Vector Aerospace Helicopter Services at RNAY Fleetlands were awarded the contract to repair the helicopter and bring it up to the latest modification standard. This involved nearly 30,000 man hours of effort over 21 months and incorporated over 250 modifications. She was handed back to the Royal Navy on the 2nd April 2009 and is now based at RNAS Yeovilton and flies as a standard 'Junglie' coded 'R'.
