Photographed parked out on the grass at Middle Wallop's 1992 Air Show, Papa-Zulu takes a break from pleasure flying. Originally serialled 44-76540 with the USAAF she went to the RAF as KN442. Her post-war civilian career meant that she would stay mostly in European skies and she's had a busy time over the last sixty-five years. Like most Daks she has a long list of former identities including: EI-BDT, TF-AIV, PH-RIC, G-41-3-66 and OD-AEQ (ntu) with operators such as Starways, Transair, British United Airlines, Flugsyn, Norfolk Airways, Air Anglia, Intra, Clyden Airways, Harvestair, Aces High, Janes Aviation and Air Atlantique who latterly operated her in an RAF transport Command scheme to commemorate the Berlin Airlift. She is now D-CXXX with Air Service Berlin named 'Roisinenbomber'.
