From a correspondent - Incorrectly listed (and registered with the FAA) as a model HU-16E. It is actually one of only 13 Albatrosses formally converted and officially re-certified under TC A22SO as a FAR Part 25 Transport Category model G-111 using its original USN contract serial no. 148327 (which it actually never carried in service because it went right to the JMSDF as model UF-2 serial no. 9054).
