Photographed at Middle Wallop's 1992 Air Show, this new Lynx AH9 had only been delivered just three days earlier. She made her first flight on the 22nd April 1992 before being delivered on the 6th May. She's now based at Dishforth allocated to 9 Regiment, which is a unit of 16 Air Assault Brigade. The Lynx AH9 (also known as the 'Battlefield Lynx') is based on the AH7 but has a wheeled undercarriage and upgraded gearbox. Eight helicopters were converted from AH7s and sixteen were new-build examples.
