KLM's right-hand door PH-ASR was the first DC-3 to visit Manchester on 02/03.07.39 when a load of 21 passengers caused substitution of the usual 14-seat DC-2 on the Amsterdam schedule. "Roek" was assembled by Fokker in March 1939 and was captured at Schiphol on 16.05.40, serving with the Luftwaffe and Lufthansa until crashing at Madrid on 09.12.42.
