The end part 2 - The remains of G-ARAY being disposed of at Lasham sometime in (I think) early 1991. Built as a series 1, she became the prototype series 2 aircraft and as such probably deserved a better end than this. As the 748 demonstrator she wore various registrations during her career with Hawker-Siddeley including: YV-C-AMC, PP-VJQ, VP-LIO, PI-C784 and OY-DFV. Unusually for a prototype she was sold to Dan Air on the 13th May 1971 and was based at Aberdeen on fixed wing support for North Sea oil operations until being broken up at Lasham.
