Second Super VC10 to fly on 29th September 1964. Used for second Super VC10 attempt at tropical trials leaving London Heathrow on 8th January 1965 for an attempt on the London Johannesburg direct flight speed record. Although not direct beat the then record. This VC10 clocked up many firsts for the type. (see vc10.net for story). Bought for the tanker conversion programme in 1981 but broken up at Abingdon in 1987 and scrapped.
