Additional comments from the photographer - The fin flash confirms it had been a 139 Sqdn aircraft, but when I took the photo it was on charge to 249 and had not been repainted. The 139 flash was red and the new boss of 249, Sqdn Ldr Doug Barfoot wanted to keep the flash (because he'd been a flight commander on 139) so a compromise was reached with the flash being repainted in yellow, because the 249 colours were blue & yellow. I know for sure because I signed the Form 674 for WJ773 and four other Canberras!
