Built 1936; Was converted for anti-submarine patrols in World War II being armed with flare chutes and 100 lb.bomb beneath the fuselage; Served with the Civil Air Patrol (C.A.P) out of Base 17, Riverside, Long Island, New York 1942/43; Displaying C.A.P Base 17 "cartoon" unit badge on the front fuselage & C.A.P emblem on the rear fuselage.
