611 Squadron Leader's Meteor F8 WH505 'A' after leading the formation of 20 based Meteors in a flypast for the BoB Day crowds. I was escorted to the guard house minutes later for 'stealing' this and other snapshots - not officially allowed in them olden days! Note the 1918-built "Belfast Truss" hangars - still extant but modified and deteriorating.
