This had crashed into sea off Frejus on 29 July 1986 with no fatalities. The aircraft had flown from Blackpool to Majorca ,Sardinia ,Corsica , Frejus . After leaving Frejus, the aircraft suffered engine failure due to contaminated fuel and ditched in San Tropez bay. The pilot decided not to land on the beach as at the time it was populated by thousands of sunbathers.
