Modified from a Tudor II, and used by the National Gas Turbine Establishment for testing the Conway jet engine in a pod under the fuselage. It was delivered to Farnborough on 4/9/55 and was soc on 13/2/62. The remains are seen here near the water pressure tank used in the structural tests on Comet G-ALYU. The fuselage section is now at Newark Air Museum.
