This aircraft, which is listed on the USCAR as a J3C-65 Cub, was built in 1943 as an L-4H Grasshopper for the US Army and subsequently saw service in Normandy during 1944. Imported into the UK in 2008 it has been restored to the original ex-factory configuration and in the colours worn when it first entered US Army service. It was on its way from its base at Yeatsall Farm, Abbots Bromley, to Goodwood for the Revival Meeting when it called at Turweston for fuel.
