Named 'Ladybird' this 747 wears Virgin Atlantic's livery from the late 1990s including "No Way BA/AA" slogans to express Sir Richard Branson's displeasure with the proposed British Airways/American Airlines merger. She was delivered 17 June 1997 and later, in 2004, appeared on the BBC TV programme Top Gear providing the "Top Gear crosswind" at Prestwick to blow away various cars! This photograph was taken sometime in late 1997.
