The designation EB-47E was applied to a number of converted B-47Es modified for the ECM (Electronic Countermeasures) role, their mission was to jam or confuse enemy radar and communications signals. The EB-47Es were given the codename BLUE CRADLE and were operated by the 301st and 376th BW based at Lockbourne AFB, Ohio. This Stratojet is displayed at Pima courtesy of the National Museum of the United States Air Force, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
