Named `The Montana Kid` this Workhorse wears the Vietnam War markings of the 93rd Transportation Company (Light Heliciopter), US Army. They were used in the air assault role in Vietnam, however it was quickly evident that the climate and weather conditions in-country had negative affects on the CH-21's performance. They were found to be underpowered, limited in range and in need of defensive armament. They served until 1964 when they began to be replaced by the Bell UH-1.
