This Tracker was accepted by the US Navy on 13 April 1956. She was first assigned to VS-30 at Norfolk, Virginia on 24 March 1956 and served aboard the USS Leyte and the USS Lake Champlain. After a short stint at Pensacola during late 1959 until early 1960 she was assigned to VS-37 on the 3 May 1960 and later VS-33 on the 1 December 1960 both at San Diego and served aboard the USS Hornet and the USS Bennington. Her last posting was at NAS Grosse Ile, Michigan with the Naval Air Reserve from 29 March 1963 until 20 September 1968 whose faded markings she still wears in this photograph. Since this was taken she's been repainted in the same markings and is displayed at Pima courtesy of the National Museum of Naval Aviation.
