The North American FJ-4 Fury was the US Navy's version of the F-86 Sabre. Unlike the Sabre, the Fury was equipped with folding wings and a longer nose landing gear strut to increase the angle of attack when being launched from a carrier. This Fury is an FJ-4B, a fighter-bomber version and is displayed in the markings of ATG-1 (Air Task Group 1). She is on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum courtesy of the National Museum of Naval Aviation. Since this photograph was taken she has been re-painted in a much more austere looking scheme.
