The Fighter Collection's beautiful Curtiss Hawk making her public debut at Flying Legends 2005 with Stephen Grey at the controls. She was delivered to the French Air Force in April 1939 and operated by GC 11/5 at Reims. During the battle of France she was based at Toul before moving to Oran in Algeria prior to the Armistice. After the war she was operated with twenty-two other Hawks by the 4th Training Squadron at Cazaux in western France. After retirement she was saved from the scrap man by Michel Pont in the 1950s and was stored in France before being acquired by The Fighter Collection in the 1980s. Her restoration was completed by Fighter Rebuilders at Chino, California.
