The Valiant Air Command's flagship 'Tico Belle' is a genuine D-Day veteran and ferried troops to Normandy as 42-100591. After the war she was one of eight C-47s used by the Danish Air Force as K-684. In 2001 she suffered a landing accident which resulted in significant damage to the undercarriage and engines. Fortunately the damage was repairable and she was supposed to be flying again by March 2008.
