This A-12 made the first of her 217 flights on 27 November 1963. Her career was short-lived and her final flight was made in August 1965 after which she was retired with a total of only 406.3 flying hours 'on-the-clock'. She was stored at Plant 42 at Palmdale, California before being trucked to the San Diego Aerospace Museum where she was displayed outside the entrance.
