Originally built as a Mk.1, this Sea Vixon was first delivered to the Aircraft Holding Unit, Abbotsinch on 30 October 1961, she was then allocated to 890 Squadron on 16 February 1962. She was then delivered to the Aircraft Holding Unit, Tengah on 17 April 1964 before being allocated to 893 Squadron and coded as 462/V. In January 1966 she was back in the UK with the Aircraft Holding Unit at Brawdy before serving with 766 Squadron at Yeovilton. On 16 September 1966 she was delivered back to Hawker Siddeley, Chester for conversion to FAW.2 standard. On 26 April 1968 she was delivered back to Yeovilton for service with 893 Squadron coded as 246/H. She was retired on 9 July 1970 and stored at RNAY Belfast. She became a ground instructional airframe on 21 March 1974 with the School of Aircraft Handling at RNAS Culdrose coded as SAH15. On 18 December 1978 she was aquired by Flight Refuelling Ltd., Hurn, (presumably for use in their Sea Vixon D3 Target Drone programme). Her last years were spent as a 'gate guard' at RNAS Yeovilton, however she was removed and scrapped in December 1995.
