You are only able to fully appreciate the scale of AMARC and the sheer numbers of aircraft stored there from the air. A rented Cessna enabled this photograph to be taken showing some of the B-52s stored at AMARC back in 1993. These Cold War warriors would later be chopped into pieces by a crane controlled guillotine. Their dismembered parts would then be left in the open to be photographed by orbiting Russian reconaissance satellites to prove compliance with the SALT II (Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty).
