Damaged by Hurricane Andrew 24 August 1992. From the last owner - This was a rare "Pressurized PV-1" built as a Howard 500, but released during the bankruptcy, and before the Howard 500 was certified as a transport category aircraft. This aircraft was certified under Part 91, however, after the recovery from bankruptcy, there was a recall to certify it as a H-500. With restrictions, the owner Pure Oil, didn't want the restrictions, and continued to operate it as a "Pressurized PV-1", although it was truly a H-500, and the 5th one off the line. It was scrapped. I met with D Howard a couple of years before his death, and he explained this to me. Owner, Nighthawk Air Systems Inc. (incorrectly submitted by the FAA as Night Hawk Air Systems)
