Photographed just after delivery to the Valiant Air Command Museum, this A-6E was intended to be upgraded to A-6F standard (the ill-fated Intruder II), unfortunately the project was cancelled so the Navy had no further use for this one. Indeed, by February 1997, all of the Intruders had been retired.
