Originally delivered to United as N7040U in 1965 this 727 was sold to Continental in 1978. She was one of the last -100's to be retired from Continental's fleet. When I photographed her at Mojave in late 1992 I thought that this was probably going to be the end of the line for this geriatric jet. Not so, she would fly again, as 9Q-CSF for African Trans Air.
