Delivered in August 1957 as a C-130A for the USAF as 56-0514. This Hercules was converted to DC-130A status in March 1966. Operated by the 4472 CCTS / 4453 CCTW, at Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona then the 11 TDS / 355 TFW also at Monthan. She was stored at MASDC from 11 January 1979 with inventory code CF027. On 13 March 1979 she was transferred to the US Navy as Bu.No. 560514 for drone operations with VC-3 (Fleet Composite Squadron-3) at NAS North Island. She was later operated by Lockheed Air Systems, Flight Systems Inc. then Avtel Flight Test Inc. on contract drone operations for the Navy. Shortly after this photograph was taken she was scrapped at Mojave, but I believe part of the fuselage ended up in El Mirage, California to be used as a movie prop.
