Photographed on the Tracor ramp at Mojave whilst waiting her turn for conversion to QRF-4C status. She was once the 'flagship' of the 38th Tactical Reconaissance Squadron based at Zweibrucken AB, Germany, hence the green and white bands on the engine intakes and the presentation of the serial, with the emphasis on the '38'. This Phantom was withdrawn from front-line use on 15 April 1991 and initially stored at AMARC before being ferried to Mojave.
