Ex-United States Air Force 56-0478. In civilian life this Hercules was operated in the aerial firefighting role by T & G later to become International Air Response. Sadly, she was destroyed on 6 September 2000 while contracted to the French Sécurité Civile. She crashed while on a firefighting mission using callsign "Pelican 82" near Aubernas in southeastern France. The aircraft had just completed a fire bombing run but during the second run she impacted terrain killing two of the four crew.
