This DC-6B was delivered to Swissair as HB-IBA on 24 June 1951, initially named "Zurich", she was the first DC-6 to be flown by the Swiss airline. In 1960 her name changed to "Schaffhausen". On 23 August 1962 she was sold to the Danish operator Sterling Airways becoming OY-EAO. She remained in service with them until April 1973, having operated on lease for Trollair and the United Nations. Her next owner would be Concare Aircraft Leasing and she was registered as N515AO, only to be re-registered shortly after, on 16 April 1973 as N515EA. Changing owners again, in June 1973 she was purchased by Seminole Aviation. In January 1976, she was sold to Sis-Q Flying Service and registered N999SQ becoming "Tanker 51". Almost 10 years later, in May 1985, she was sold yet again, this time to Macavia International Corporation. The 1990s heralded another change of ownership, this time T & G Aviation from February 1991. She was stored at Chandler and in February 1993 she was sold to Pacific Harbor Capital, who in turn sold her on to Barron Thomas Aviation in November 1993. February 1994 would see her sold again to Everts Air Fuel, only to be stored once more, this time at Fairbanks, Alaska. Her flying days now at an end, her front fuselage now sits on top of a shop called "Pike's Aviator Greenhouse and Sweets" on Airport Road in Fairbanks.
