This DC-7C was first delivered to Compagnie de Transports Aeriens Intercontinentaux/TAI on 6 January 1958 as F-BIAQ. When this company merged with UTA in 1963 she was passed to the French Air Force as F-ZBCB. In 1978 she was sold to Engine Air Ltd and then passed on to GCA Inc. registered as N90251. By May 1979 she was parked up at St. Louis, Missouri facing a somewhat uncertain future. In July however she was bought by Commercial Leasing Inc. of New Orleans but ended up staying in St. Louis. Abandoned there, she suffered the humiliation of unpaid airport charges and a court judgement only to be sold again by the Sheriff in order to settle the unpaid bills. Then a reprieve, in the guise of T & G Aviation, who bought her, made her operational again and ferried her to Chandler in September 1986. There she joined the other DC-7s in T & G's fleet and was configured as a sprayer, serving in Agadir, Morocco spraying locusts. Returning in 1990, only to be parked up again until 1995, when she was bought by Brooks Fuel Inc. The internal tank previously used for carrying insecticide was now used to haul fuel. It could hold up to 5,800 gallons. Last I heard, she was stored at Fairbanks, Alaska but Brooks were hoping to fly her again.
