Originally designated as a C-54B for the United States Army Air Force as 43-17188 she was transferred to the US Navy and designated as a R5D-2 with Bu.No. 90389. In Navy service she was later redesignated a C-54P. In civilian life she was bought by Brooks Fuel Inc. as N44906 and stored for many years at Chandler Memorial. Sadly, she was scrapped in February 2006.
