This aircraft was originally a C-54E intended for use by the United States Army Air Force as 44-9145. It was transferred to the US Navy as Bu.No. 90415. In Navy service she was known as a R5D-4R but was redesignated as a C-54R in 1962. Operated in civilian life as N44909 with Biegert Aviation, HC-BPB with AeroGal and Aero Amazonico. Purchased by Brooks Fuel in 1996 she was damaged beyond repair at Bronson Creek, British Columbia, Canada on 2 February 1997.
