According to the Smithsonian web site this is the prototype S-55 (YH-19) built in 1949, used by Sikorsky for demonstration and test flying until acquired by Orlando Helicopter Airways in 1966. The c/n they give seems to be the Bu number, which puts the aircraft way out of sequence for being the prototype. Could the Smithsonian be wrong? N2797 is officially registered as ex 49-2012 and in the NASM inventory as such, but is actually 127799/N4782S.
