A modified RF-84F that was to be carried on a cradle attached to a B-36. When close to Russian borders it would be air-launched to perform its recce mission over Russia then return to the 'mother' B-36. After some problem trials, it was not proceeded with. Note the anhedral tailplane to fit under the B-36 fuselage.
