During the Falklands Conflict , whilst serving with 3 Commando Brigade Air Squadron(3 CBAS)coded 'X', XX411 was shot down into the sea by Argentinian troops off Port San Carlos 21/5/1982 with the loss of the pilot.She was recovered 20/10/1982 and returned to Middle Wallop as a Battle Damage Repair; To the Museum 2002; Restored by RAF Aldergrove 2007
