Modified by Dan Air by fitting Dart RDa7's in place of the RDa6's along with some other structural mods. Aircraft so modified were un-officially refered to as HS748-1A. Others known to have been modified were G-ARAY, G-ARMW & G-ARMX. These series 1A aircraft were certified for a MTOW of 18597kg compared with 17916kg for a standard series 1.
