TG503 became the Gate Guard of RAF Gatow in 1978. In 1997 it was airlifted with the help of a Russian Mil Mi-26 from Gatow to the Allierten Museum, Clayallee 135, Berlin, for permanent exterior display as memorial to Berlin Airlift. The Museum intends to repaint it to it´s former Berlin Airlift scheme soon.
