First visit of MATS to Stockholm/Bromma. This is one of the first 10 Constellations or "Connies" ordered by the new US Air Force in 1947. With the serial number "8609," the plane was one serial number away from being President Dwight Eisenhower's plane, number 8610, for Air Force One. Carried also cargo in the Berlin Airlift, sprayed pine trees after being retired from the military and was briefly owned by movie star John Travolta, who wanted to save the plane from destruction.
